Nicole wins University of Sheffield’s History Essay Prize

An essay by Nicole that subverts traditional interpretations of the role of women in Nazi Germany, has been announced as the winner of the University of Sheffield’s History Essay Prize competition 2024.

Noting the large number of entries and strong field, the head of the panel commended Nicole’s entry for being:

“an excellent essay [that] is well-argued, well-written and perceptive. It engages critically with the historiography and puts forward a clear and original argument. Indeed, I was impressed by your capacity for independent thinking. A pleasure to read.”
