An Australian Adventure for Rugby School Students
Rugby School students, John and Vick, have spent the last ten weeks on exchange at Toowoomba Grammar and Fairholme College, fully immersing themselves in Australian boarding life.
They have followed the Australian curriculum, with John particularly enjoying agricultural science and Vick taking an interest in dance and hospitality, all while keeping up with their A-Levels.
At weekends, they stayed with host families, travelling as far west as Charleville and into the heart of Northern Queensland. Their time there provided valuable insight into Australian agriculture, including helicopter mustering and life on various farms.
John also took part in sport, representing Toowoomba in cricket.
Before returning to Rugby, both students shared their experiences with future exchange students at their respective schools. While in Toowoomba, John also had the opportunity to meet Campbell, who was on exchange at Rugby School last year.
This has been an incredible experience, broadening the students’ perspectives and deepening their understanding of life in another part of the world.
